"Life is for living and hoping and caring and sharing with the people we love." Love is the light that shines from within at the Lighthouse. From love stems care and understanding, patience and kindness, and a loving family atmosphere which inspires hope and comfort to the clients of the Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse Steps to Independent Living
Residential Living:
24 hour supervised living on campus.
This is the most highly structured and highly restrictive step of our program.
On-Campus - Semi-Independent:
As residents progress from the Residential Living phase of the Lighthouse program, they can move to semi-independent living on-campus.
This placement entails more independence in daily activities providing a less restrictive environment.
Off-Campus - Responsible Living:
Residents live in Lighthouse-owned homes located in a community setting off campus.
Residents have limited supervision and assume more individual responsibilities.
Independence:
The goal of the Lighthouse is to assist individuals to reach their highest possible level of independence in the least restrictive environment.
